Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ClientPlot (“ClientPlot”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use ClientPlot, a client-work management tool available at clientplot.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Who controls the data

ClientPlot is a tool you use to organize your own work. The clients, contacts, tasks, projects, notes, files and schedules you enter (“Your Content”) belong to you. For that content you are the data controller and we act as your processor — we store and process it only to run the Service on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consent needed to store information about the people you add.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address. Passwords are handled and hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in plain text.
• Your Content — the clients, tasks, projects, notes, tags, follow-up dates, schedules and files you create or upload, which may include personal data about your own customers.
• Billing information — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store only a customer reference, your plan and subscription status. We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Usage and technical data — basic log data such as IP address, browser/device type and timestamps, used for security and to keep the Service running.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain and secure the Service and your workspace.
• To send transactional email you enable — follow-up reminders, the daily digest, team invites and account notices. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To process subscriptions, prevent fraud and comply with law.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use Your Content to build advertising profiles or to train AI models.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. Data may be processed in the United States.

• Google Firebase — Authentication, database and file storage (United States).
• Stripe — Subscription billing and payment processing (United States).
• Resend — Transactional email (reminders, digests, invites) (United States).
• Vercel — Application hosting and content delivery (United States).

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the app. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Sharing

We share information only with the sub-processors above, with people you deliberately invite to your workspace, or where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of ClientPlot and its users. If the Service is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data retention

We keep your account and Your Content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your workspace data; residual copies may remain in encrypted backups or logs for a limited period before being overwritten. You can ask us to delete your data sooner by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can do much of this yourself in the app, or email us at support@clientplot.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We do not sell personal information.

Security

We protect data in transit with encryption, enforce access rules at the database level, and limit access to your workspace to you and people you invite. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. ClientPlot is not a backup service — please keep your own copies of anything critical.

Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
